History of APSRTC’s RAZOLE-RGIA Services

Hi Friends, this is sreeram In this Story I would like to say about the one of the Golden Route of APSRTC I.e, RAZOLE-RGIA (RAJIV GANDHI INTL. AIRPORT)

Razole—Hyderabad International Airport(Shamshabad Airport/RGIA) is one of the Important Route of APSRTC,especially to East Godavari Region. There are Nearly 9Regular Services Running in RZL-RGIA & 10Services in RGIA Route, with Good Response of Nearly 85-95%OR, Irrespective of weekdays & Weekends,Let us the History of those Services on
After Purchasing of Indra AC Buses with Ashok Leyland 225Hp Engine In it’s Batch of Delivery,APSRTC Allotted 2 New Buses Directly with Registration Numbers of (AP29z2421 & AP29z2422), at that time the Migrators from RAZOLE Area was Increasing Day-by-Day towards the Different Gulf Countries such as Dubai,Abu-Dhabi,Qatar, & also towards Malaysia Etc.., then those People used to Go Airport’s by Hiring special Cabs with Higher prices or by Traveling Upto Hyd in a bus from there to Airport. Then to Provide at Lower Transportation Cost for to Travel to Airport,In 2011 APSRTC Decided to start 1Service with Direct Destination Point of SHAMSHABAD Airport (RGI Airport), With Service Number of (24251/24252) with A departure of Day time Journey (11am from RAZOLE & 5am From RGIA) as by Connecting Night Flight towards Gulf Countries. It is Purely Experimental Step Taken By APSRTC, and Finally Succeded on it.

After Getting Good Response for that INDRA Service & By Requests of AMALAPURAM People, In Year 2012, APSRTC AMALAPURAM Depot Started “Super Luxury” Non AC Service Between AMALAPURAM—RGIA (Via:-Razole,Bhimavaram) where the Regular Hyd Services of Amp Depot passes through Ravulapalem,Eluru., With a Service Number of (23507/23508) Which is Supposed to be starts at 1PM from AMALAPURAM,2PM From RAZOLE, And in Return 8.45 AM @ RGIA ,Even this service also got good response from Airport passengers.

Then in the year 2012-December,After Getting 3rd Batch of New Indra Buses, 2More New Buses Allotted to RAZOLE Depot (AP29z3369 & AP29z3383) for to Survive in RZL-RGIA Route, and Finally in the Fresh Year 2013,One more Service of INDRA Between RZL-RGIA Started with Dep Time of 4Pm @RZL & 12PM @RGIA, With Service Numbers (24255/24256), Even this Service also Got Success But With The Requests of Passengers the Timings of this service was Changed for many times,But the Response was Still Good
Even the Services of Increasing, the Demand was not Decreased

At that Time In 2014,,Amalapuram Depot Used to Run INDRA Service to Hyderabad-BHEL, Then PICKET (Now TSRTC) Depot Started Garuda Plus-Benz Multi axle to AMALAPURAM & then Diverted those Indra Buses (AP05z0061 & AP05z5000) for AMALAPURAM—RGIA (Via:-Razole) as New Service with Service Numbers (2560 & 2561) which is Supposed to Departs at 7PM From AMALAPURAM & 8PM From RAZOLE & In Return 5pm from RGIA.

In Same Period AMP Used to Run 2More Buses Amalapuram—Visakhapatnam Route, then Officials Decided to Divert Those INDRA Buses to RGIA,as Upgradation of 23507/23508 Super Luxury Service, and Finally they Upgraded that Service with (AP29Z3343 & AP29z3345), Even the Super Luxury Service Upgraded with Indra The OR was not effected.

At that Same Time,The Razole Public Demanded to Start One AC Service to HYDERABAD-BHEL Which Covers major part of HYDERABAD City, But the facing problem of Scarcity of Buses, then Finally in the year May 2015, SRIKAKULAM-1 Depot Cancelled The SRIKAKULAM–HYD-BHEL Services Due to Poor Response(as per Officials), and Shifted 2 Buses to Mangalam Depot for TPT-BNG Route & 2Buses to RAZOLE Depot for to Run between RAZOLE – HYDERABAD-BHEL.After Getting 2Indra Buses (AP29z3344 & AP29z3348) From SKLM-1 Depot, In June 2015 ,RZL Depot Upgraded SL(2839/2840) Service Running to BHEL With INDRA,the Problem Happened with This Service is Early Departure Timings From Both Sides.

At Same Time ,KAKINADA Depot Having 6 Indra Buses used to Run for HYDERABAD (2 For BHEL &1 For ECIL), Due to Poor Response for KKD-ECIL Service,More over that to Fulfill the need of RGIA Passengers APSRTC Cancelled KKD-ECIL Indra Service and Shifted 2Buses (AP05z0053 & AP05z0054) to AMP Depot, and in July 2015, AMALAPURAM Depot Started one More Service to RGIA,Via:-Razole With Service Numbers 2548/2549 which is Supposed to start at 8PM from AMALAPURAM,8.45pm from RZL-RGIA &In Return 9PM From RGIA.

In the Year 2016 January APSRTC Got Volvo B9R Buses with brand Name of Amaravati & Allotted 2Buses to KAKINADA Depot, then Kakinada Depot Replaced Garuda Service with Amaravati & one Indra Service with Garuda. Then in Feb2016, KKD Depot Shifted those BHEL Cancelled Buses,1Bus (AP29z2502 to AMP & 1Bus (AP29z2517) to RAZOLE Depot as Spares, With These Buses the Fleet of INDRA Buses is Increased to 7Buses in RAZOLE Depot & 7Buses In AMALAPURAM Depot.

AMALAPURAM Depot Kept as Spare ,But RAZOLE Depot Not Interested to Kept as Spare & Taken a Strategic Decision by Starting New Service With Spare Bus as Day&Night Journey, In 26-March-2016 this Service was Launched with Service(2845/2846) with A Departure of 7am From RZL & 9.30PM From RGIA With Single Bus ,then Due to Maintenance of bus , Shuffling Process was Started with This Service,Even this Service also getting Good Response

At the Same Time,Refabrication Process for INDRA Buses were Started in APSRTC,For Not to lose RGIA Passengers, then RZL-BHEL Service Was Temporarily Cancelled & Sent Buses for Refabrication.
In 2016, After Getting Of Buses Back, Instead of BHEL,the Response for RGIA Services were Increased and the Demand was to Started for to Start One more to RGIA, Then In the Month of December RAZOLE Depot Started One More Service (24243/24244) which is Supposed to Start at 3PM from RZL & 10.30AM From RGIA.
At Same Time , AMALAPURAM Depot Started One More Service with Spare Bus as on. ALTERNATE DAYS ,With Service Number of 23533 In 2016 December it self,But Due to Not a Regular Service it was Withdrawn and Diverted to AMP—VSP Daily Service.

On that Time RAVULAPALEM Depot from Same EG Region,Running 3 Super Luxury Services to RGIA, and in Yr 2017, RVPM Started one more Super Luxury Service (23885/23886) to RGIA but, which Passes via:-Tanuku,Eluru in Up Jrmy and Via:-Bhimavaram,Razole) in Down Journey,Even the Via:-Razole Route is Longer but Here OR plays an Important Role,Here this Service 23886 Starts at 6.30AM from RGIA towards Razole-Ravulapalem.
With this Service the no.of Services Increased to 7 From RZL & 8 From RGIA,But RAZOLE Depot Facing Problem of Lack of AC Buses Bcz there are Doing 8Services (4UP-4Down) with 7buses then In the 2018, VISAKHAPATNAM Depot Indra (AP26z0072) Which is acting as spare in VSP Depot was Shifted to RAZOLE Depot, and RZL Depot Used to Run as 8Buses for 8Services (4UP&4Down) ,
Then there is one INDRA in SRIKAKULAM-2 Depot (AP26z0076) Which Is Not using For Operations, then RZL Depot Took That Bus and Spent on Mechanical Aspects & also Sent For Refabrication as to Get New Bus Look.

Finally,In February 2018,one more Service Started for RZL-RGIA with Service Numbers 24261/24262 which is Supposed to Start at 9.30PM FromRZL as last Service From RZL & 3pm FROM RGIA
As Finally in April-2018 AMALAPURAM Depot Started Super Luxury Service for AMP-RZL-RGIA With Dep of 8AM From AMP,8.45 From RZL & In Return 3AM From RGIA.

At Present there are 9 Regular Services Running from RZL-RGIA & 10 Regular Services From RGIA-RZL by Various Depots of APSRTC
In between these,Bhimavaram Dept used to Run Vennela Sleeper & Narsapuram Depot Started Garuda then Indra but none of those were Succeded
APSRTC Should Focus on Such Type of Routes by attracting with New Buses & Some More Services and Not to loose Passengers in This route.

One thing I need to say is
RAZOLE ante RGIA,. RGIA ante RAZOLE
